About KendyllHi, I'm Kendyll! I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and have had a passion for performing since a ripe young age. I was fortunate enough to have an upbringing that included seeing Broadway shows yearly, which surely helped my passion for performing blossom.
I got my start in ballet and tap at age 3, and later moved on to gymnastics for 6 years before returning to dance classes at the age of 12. Along with dance and gymnastics, I took private lessons in voice, violin, piano, and guitar. I later taught myself how to play the bass guitar. Before deciding that being an actress was my calling, I wanted to be a veterinarian... I even believed I could speak to animals all the way through elementary school (Dr. Doolittle style!) When I made the discovery that being a vet meant 8 years of school and ALSO meant putting animals down, I let that dream go. I hope to combine both of my passions at some point by being a dog handler for the stage. I graduated from Downingtown West High School in 2011 after playing Christine in Phantom of the Opera my senior year. I went on to pursue my degree in Musical Theater at Temple University, where I ended up graduating with a Minor in Speech Pathology as well. While at Temple, I was lucky to take master classes with big names such as Farah Alvin, Pasek & Paul, and Hugh Panaro. My husband and I live in a beautiful home in West Philadelphia with our three kitties. |
